Praise be to the God who has broken through every barrier--natural, religious, or otherwise--to get to us, His beloved creation! May you know the nearness of God this week and may His persistent love for you be felt every day.
This coming week, we encounter two "call" stories: Samuel, in the Old Testament, and Nathanael, in the Gospel of John. The movement of God is not just toward us in a general sense, but the God of Heaven and Earth knows our names and invites us to come be where He is and to experience greater wonders than we can imagine.
Reflect on these themes as you read.
1 Samuel 3:1-20
1 Corinthians 6:12-20
John 1:43-51
Psalm 139:1-5, 12-17
My prayer for us: Almighty God, who sees and knows and stands among us, call out our names this week and give us ears to hear Your voice, so that we might be where You are now and forever. In the name of Jesus and in the power of Your Spirit we pray. Amen.
