Welcome to
kenai fellowship
extending
god's
hospitable
love
Kenai Fellowship exists to extend God's hospitable love to our community.
Extending implies that we are not the source, but a conduit or vessel of what God has given to us (2 Corinthians 4). We want to be good stewards of all that God has entrusted into our care.
The best way we know to articulate this action of stewardship is to use the language of love (Matthew 22:34-40). Just as we have seen and received God's love in our own lives, so we want to share that love with others (John 3:16).
The quality of God's love is marked by hospitality, in which all are welcomed and embraced, but none are forced (Luke 14:15-24). We strive to invite people into our lives and around our tables, so that we might genuinely notice, serve, listen, wonder, and share conversations and life together.
Our heart is that we can extend this hospitable love to the ends of the earth, starting with our community–those people we share daily connections with on the Kenai Peninsula. We want to love our neighbors, just as God has loved us (John 15:12). We would be honored if you would come and join us in this beautiful and worthwhile effort!
